9th - 11th October, GRGBanking attended “ATMIA Africa Conference 2013” in Cape Town, South Africa. Over 160 delegates from 27 different countries joined the event.
In the event, GRGBanking, with its local partner G4S Deposita showcased the Cash Dispenser E300L & H22NL, Cash Recycler H68N, Cash Deposit Machine P2800L and the total intelligent cash collection & cassette swapping solution, which received keen interests from delegates.
Featuring the theme “21st Century ATM for the Emerging New Africa”, the conference this year focused on payments developments and evolution as new opportunities open up for the increasingly ubiquitous ATM in Africa.
Christopher Holroyd, Regional sales director of African Market, talked about ATM industry trend in the panel discussion on 10th Oct, he thought that in a few years the technologies used by all ATM suppliers will become identical and what the ATM providers should focus on is to provide real convenience to the unbanked so as to enable them to access to premium banking services. The solution should be perfectly tailored to meet their expectation, and with the mentality to actually help them.
The speech was highly commented by some participants, and was further quoted in the closing speech of the event.
