On 16th Dec, 2014, GRG’s first African Customer Exchange was successfully held in North Africa by GRGBanking and its local partner Tamika 4 Technology Co., Ltd. Over 46 guests from 20 banks attended the conference and product showcase, among whom some experts and opinion leaders in the industry from the region shared their insights and experiences in the event.
GRG’s innovative solutions, including cash recycler, full-function ATM, multi-function payment kiosk, intelligent cash deposit machine, video teller machine and cash sorting machine were showcased in the event.
Christopher Holroyd, Regional Sales Director for Africa market mentioned in the opening speech that, a lot of advanced technologies have been introduced to Africa by GRG, including cash recycler, cash sorter as well as video teller machine, which can help to optimize every step in the whole cash cycle for banks.
Now in Africa, GRGBanking has cash recycler running in Nigeria, Tunisia, Mauritius, Kenya, Tanzania, and cash sorter running in Tanzania, South Africa, Nigeria. The customer list includes the largest CIT company in South Africa and the largest bank in Nigeria.
Dr. Osama Ahmed Ibrahim, General Manager of Intelligent Solutions for System & Software, talked about the concept of auto-branch for branch transformation and the practical project with guest from El Nilein Bank, which will use all GRG solutions in their coming auto-branch.
In the event, guests from Bank of Khartoum, Faisal Islamic Bank, Al Salam Bank and El Nilein Bank shared their project experiences and praised GRG’s solutions for their outstanding performance, as well as the efficient service support from the local partner. “I believe, collectively, we are together; we can transform the key aspect of the ATM market landscape in African region. I believe that it can happen if we coordinate together with GRG, an innovative company in this industry” Mr. Mohamed Adam A.lbrahim, CIO of Al Salam Bank said.
GRG’s solutions attracted guests’ great interests. During the event, the guests raised many questions for the advanced technologies like cash recycler, cash sorter and video teller machine which can reduce bank’s TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), while some bank representatives even requested to start the testing or pilot of the machines as soon as possible.
