On November 22-23, 2017, GRGBanking and its local partner Epsys jointly attended ATM & Cash Innovation Asia which held by ATM Industry Association in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The conference has gathered more than 300 bankers, experts and manufacturers to pay attention to the "key moment" of the industry transformation and share the insights of how cash and ATM are likely to change in the near future.
Mr. Mark Yip, Managing Director of GRGBanking, was invited to make the first keynote speech at the conference. He shared the trends in favor of digital transformation of Asian banking industry, especially talked about some experience of China, where has the largest ATM installation base since 2013.
“With the internet connection to everyone and everywhere, with the mobile phone popularizing, the consumption habit has significantly changed, especially among the young generation. In China, Alipay and Wechat have been growing very fast and dominated the Mobile payment market. Almost all the daily payment can be done online and by mobile now. The circulation of the cash is decreasing, however, cash will not disappear, at least in the foreseeable future. And no doubt, banks need to change themselves to suit the new situation, ATM manufactures also need to change together with the banks proactively and quickly.” Mark Yip presented.
Then the representatives of NCR, Diebold Nixdorf, MasterCard, DBS bank and other FIs also delivered their views of trends in development, financial security and banking digital transformation, etc.
